A Hidden Life is a historical drama film written and directed by Terrence Malick. The film depicts the life of Franz Jägerstätter, an Austrian farmer and devout Catholic who refused to fight for the Nazis in World War II.
Born in St Radegund, Austria in 1907, Franz Jägerstätter was Executed on 9th August 1943 at Brandenburg Prison for his conscientious objection to serving in Hitler’s army.
