By Pax Christi International has joined the Korea Peace Appeal as an international partner organisation. The appeal calls for an end to the Korean War and establish a peace agreement, create a Korean peninsula and world free from nuclear weapons and nuclear threat. The global campaign also seeks to resolve conflict through dialogue and cooperation instead of sanctions and pressure. The Korea Peace Appeal looks to a future where the cycles of the arms race are broken and governments instead invest in human security and environmental sustainability.
Collected signatures will be delivered to the UN and to the governments of the countries involved in the Korean War including the Republic of Korea, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, the United States, and the People’s Republic of China.
