Indigenous and peasant communities from Guatemala were accompanied by Pax Christi International Associate Member CONFREGUA in the workshop ‘Defending the Land from Extractive Industries’. The event allowed Indigenous communities to meet and to reflect on ILO Convention 169 and their rights to be consulted about corporate and government interests in their territories and resources.
