Pax Christi actions to End Nuclear Weapons

On the anniversary of the dropping of the atomic bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945, which killed 213,000 people, and for those affected by nuclear tests in subsequent years, Pax Christi International is organising pilgrimages, advocacy actions against policy makers, peace vigils and awareness campaigns, to an end to the weapons, their threat, and their use.

Pax Christi Scotland: Hiroshima Day at 6 August

At 11 am on the 6th of August, Pax Christi Scotland organises a prayer session with FR Philip at St Margaret’s Peace Garden. May we pray for peace, for an end to the weapons that destroyed  Hiroshima and Nagasaki and killed 110,000 people in those two cities in 1945, and for those affected by nuclear testing in subsequent years.
