Call to action: Join the ELSiA Survey

Pax Christi International cordially invites our European members to participate in the European Laudato Si’ Alliance (ELSiA) survey, “Living Laudato Si’“. This survey serves as a valuable tool for Catholic organisations, enabling them to gain insight into the wide array of Laudato Si’ -inspired initiatives that have been implemented across Europe since the publication of the Encyclical.

PCI firmly believes in the importance of nonviolent strategies, movements, and initiatives in safeguarding life and fostering healing on/of our planet. It is our conviction that the Church should regard nonviolence as an essential element of integral human development, a means of fostering ecological and social interconnectedness, and a way of extending mutual hospitality.

Consequently, we are deeply committed to the idea that initiatives rooted in the principles of Laudato Si’ are pivotal in our journey towards a more peaceful world, where the environment plays an integral role in the narrative of nonviolence. We believe it is essential to promote and share your initiatives!

The survey can be accessed here until October 31st.

The European Laudato Si’ Alliance (ELSiA) is a network of Catholic organisations working together to bring the encyclical letter Laudato Si’ to life. Founded in 2019, it is currently composed by seven members. They are: Caritas Europa, CIDSE, COMECE, Don Bosco International, JESC, Justice and Peace Europe and the Laudato Si’ Movement. ELSiA intends to promote ecological justice and the social teaching of the Church as a shared and coordinated commitment of Catholic Alliances.
