By On November 7 and 8, 2023, Pax Christi International actively participated in the November 2023 General Assembly of the International Office for Human Rights Action on Colombia (OIDHACO) in Brussels, Belgium.
The General Assembly served as a pivotal moment for members of the network to come together, fostering collaboration, exchanging valuable information, and strategizing for the remaining months of 2023 and the entirety of 2024.
Throughout these two dynamic days, attention was given to the presentation of key documents, including the 2022 National Human Rights Report titled “Labyrinths of Change” and the OIDHACO shadow report on human rights in Colombia for the Universal Periodic Review (UPR).
The discussions were enriched by the presence of representatives of the European Commission, and European and Colombian NGOs.
To further amplify awareness, the 2022 National Human Rights Report was also showcased at a public event held on November 9, 2023, in Brussels.
