The year 2026 of Pax Christi International opens with the shared message of the two Co-Presidents, Bishop Jose Colin Bagaforo and Sr Wamũyũ Teresia Wachira.

At the beginning of the new year and the new term of office, the Co-Presidents wished to reflect on the words of Pope Leo XIV, who wished all the faithful a year of peace, one that may be “unarmed and disarming”.

May the same Peace we celebrate today be the guiding light of our year, urging us towards a constant and collective commitment to building processes of Nonviolence.
