Australia: Pax Christi Australia presents a seminar on the establishment of a 'First Nations Voice' in the Australian constitution

20/1/19 - “We wholeheartedly support the Uluru Statement from the Heart (May 2017), which calls for the establishment of a ‘First Nations Voice’ in the Australian Constitution and for recognition, reconciliation, truth-telling and treaty between governments, the people of Australia and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.” (Grail members, Sydney)

Join Pax Christi Australia for a seminar on Saturday, 23 February 2019 to learn how far these matters have been moved forward by governments since May 2017 and what issues and concerns are holding back progress. Professor Lindon Coombes, from Jumbunna Institute for Indigenous Education and Research at UTS, will help us examine these questions.
