Pax Christi Germany on arms transfers to Saudi Arabia

 

In a recent interview for the German radio station domradio.de, Wiltrud Rösch-Metzler, vice-president of Pax Christi Germany and member of the Pax Christi International Board, talks about Germany’s arms deliveries to Saudi Arabia over the past year. In what she calls a “devastating account”, Wiltrud Rösch-Metzler deplores the lack of transparency in the decision-making process with regard to arms transfers to third countries, notably to Saudi Arabia for which arms exports worth 1.237 billion euros were approved in 2012.
