UK: Reclaiming Gospel Nonviolence conference in Scotland includes special opportunity for young people

Justice and Peace Scotland are running an exciting new competition for young people to win a place at their upcoming non-violence conference.

‘Reclaiming Gospel Nonviolence’ will take place at St Mary’s Monastery in Kinnoull, Perth from July 14-16 this year, and will look at how the theme of non-violence is central to Christianity.

The conference will include workshops and discussion on how Scotland can make Gospel non-violence a living reality for the individual, society and the Church.

The conference will also feature guest speakers, including Fr John Dear, a writer and activist who has worked in the field of non-violence and was part of the 2016 conference on nonviolence in Rome; Lucas Johnson, the general secretary of the International Fellowship of Reconciliation; and Pat Gaffney from Pax Christi in the UK, who will hold a meeting for Pax Christi members during the conference...
