By The Catholic Church celebrates the 54th World Day of Peace on 1 January 2021. The Pope has shared his message for the occasion, “A Culture of Care as a Path to Peace.” The message emphasizes “a common, supportive and inclusive commitment to protecting and promoting the dignity and good of all, a willingness to show care and compassion, to work for reconciliation and healing, and to advance mutual respect and acceptance.”

Sr Wamuyu Wachira, co-president of Pax Christi International, has written a response to the pope’s message, inviting the entire movement to journey in internalising and acting creatively on the message. It is full of grace-filled, life-giving insights and hope. It challenges and calls us to go beyond the Covid-19 reality through 2021 and beyond.
