The Pax Christi Fund for Peace is offering a series of webinars that focus on nonviolence as a concrete, contextual strategy to address contemporary global challenges.

With prominent guests, including experts and practitioners in nonviolence, pastors, and others deeply engaged in peacebuilding, this series aims to deepen our understanding of nonviolence and its practical applications in various contexts.

By showcasing real-world examples and insights, the webinars will demonstrate how nonviolence can serve as a powerful alternative to traditional methods of conflict transformation and social change, offering a new path to the pressing needs of our time.

The Pax Christi International Fund for Peace was established to accept tax-deductible contributions to Pax Christi International from U.S. donors.

A Voice from the Border: The Pastoral Presence of Bishop Mark J. Seitz – October 24, 2024

In this emotional and deeply moving conversation, Bishop Mark Seitz shared his firsthand experiences working with immigrants at the U.S.-Mexico border. Moderated by Marie Dennis of our Catholic Nonviolence Initiative, this webinar offered a unique and compassionate perspective on immigration.

Bishop Seitz concluded with a poignant reflection that continues to resonate with us:

“Advocacy will only have an impact if we change the minds and hearts of citizens in this country. We have to do the hard work of reaching the grassroots and helping people understand—a kind of understanding that can only come from encounter. I hope and pray that people will take the opportunity, wherever they live, to reach out, ask questions, and listen to the stories of immigrants. These stories may very well change your life, allowing you to see a reality through their eyes that you were unable to see before.”
