Pax Christi International is among more than sixty humanitarian organisations and human rights groups that today signed a letter addressed to President von der Leyen and EU Foreign Ministers, calling for concrete measures to be taken against Israel, which is accused of serious and systematic violations of international law in Palestine and Lebanon.

The letter, published by Amnesty International, highlights a worsening situation, including repression in the occupied territories, expansion of settlements, settler violence, arbitrary detention (including of minors), and a devastating humanitarian crisis in Gaza, where a genocide continues to unfold.

The measures the EU should impose are not merely political choices, but obligations under international law. We call for urgent action, and for no further inaction in the face of these developments.
