Since 2018, Pax Christi International has been contributing to a more peaceful and stable environment in East and Central Africa by promoting nonviolent approaches to conflict transformation and violence prevention.

Our Initiatives
In DRC, Kenya, South Sudan, Burundi, and Uganda, Pax Christi is accompanying religious Sisters in their ministries through training in active nonviolence, trauma healing, and peacebuilding.
In the Great Lakes Region (DR Congo, Rwanda, Burundi), Pax Christi International is empowering young people in active nonviolence and peacebuilding, as well as digital literacy and entrepreneurship to enable them to achieve economic independence. In particular, in Burundi, Pax Christi is focussing on young single mothers.
