About the Series
Sudan is facing one of the most serious humanitarian and political crises in its history, yet the scale of this suffering has been largely overlooked by the international community. Since April 2023, an intense conflict between rival factions has caused immense displacement, food insecurity, and human rights violations. Across the country, civilians, youth leaders, and civil society organisations continue to advocate for a just and sustainable peace under extremely difficult circumstances.
Following the World Day of Prayer for Peace in Sudan held on 11 April 2025, Pax Christi International launched a new cycle of webinars under the banner “Sudan Speaks: Voices from a Forgotten Crisis and Hopes for Peace”.
