Day 1

On December 10th, we had the honour of welcoming and accompanying a delegation from Bethlehem to Brussels. Representatives from Wi’Am, the Arab Educational Institute, Pax Christi International and Pax Christi Flanders took part in a day of constructive dialogue and advocacy.

The delegation met with Ambassador Amal Jadou, Palestine’s Ambassador to Belgium, and with MEP Annalisa Corrado at the European Parliament. The passion, perseverance and courage shown by both the Ambassador and the MEP in standing with the Palestinian people brought genuine depth to our conversations. Their presence created space for deeper cooperation and reaffirmed our shared commitment to a just peace rooted in human dignity.

Day 2

On December 15th 2025 in Brussels, we continued the advocacy tour with the representatives from Wi’am: The Palestinian Conflict Transformation CenterArab Educational InstitutePax Christi International and Pax Christi Vlaanderen.

We were honored to meet His Excellency Archbishop Bernardito Cleopas AuzaApostolic Nuncio to the European Union, the Holy See’s ambassador to the EU, bringing decades of diplomatic experience from service in Haiti, the United Nations, Spain and Andorra, and now Brussels. His reflections on peace, diplomacy, and human dignity enriched our conversations.

Additionally, in collaboration with the Quaker Council for European Affairs (QCEA), we gathered with an animated group of activists and Brussels‑based NGOs to exchange ideas and strengthen networks for peace. We are very grateful to QCEA for the wonderful collaboration, which consistently enables us to work together so effectively.

In a separate meeting, we also met Marek Mišák, Policy Adviser for EU External Relations at COMECE and Secretary General at Justice and Peace Europe, whose insights helped deepen our understanding of how faith-based and civil society actors can contribute to lasting peace and justice.

Pax Christi International remains grateful for these exchanges and for the continued partnership of civil society actors, policymakers, and community leaders as we seek nonviolent, justice-centred paths towards a lasting and equitable peace.
