In a time such as ours, marked by violent conflicts and global tensions, the theme of nonviolence takes on an increasingly prominent role, becoming a cornerstone in the formation of the citizens of the future. The challenge of our age, therefore, is to convey a message of peace to be lived out in our daily lives, rediscovering in the synodal journey the opportunity to walk together.

This autumn, the Catholic Nonviolence Initiative is offering a programme focused on rediscovering the theme of nonviolence through various artistic disciplines, seeking ways to carry forward a universal message of peace also through art and beauty. In collaboration with Pax Christi USA, Casa Esther and EcoProtection Alliance, the CNI Fall Series has been launched: a cycle of online sessions designed to explore social issues through creativity.

The proposed meetings, led by speakers from different parts of the world, will focus on Visual Arts, Music, Film, Theatre, Poetry and Dance: an opportunity, then, to celebrate together the message of peace in the Gospel through self-expression and imagination. The cultural, spiritual and practical perspectives offered will point to new paths of transformation for society and our communities.

Participation is open to all: access is free or available at a symbolic cost (around 30 dollars for the entire series for the general public). Furthermore, recordings of each session will remain available for those unable to attend live.
