On the occasion of Holy Easter 2026, the two Co-Presidents of Pax Christi International have shared two reflections, focusing on the message of God’s love as the foundation of hope and renewal.

Sister Teresia Wamũyũ Wachira invites the faithful and members of the Movement to understand Easter as a time of awareness and responsibility. Christ’s passage from death to resurrection can serve as a lens through which to recognise the wounds and deep suffering weighing on the world, and to respond with concrete commitment and Gospel nonviolence to wars, injustices, inequalities, and environmental crises.

Bishop José Colin Bagaforo highlights Easter as a new beginning, a call to reconciliation in order to build a Just Peace grounded in human dignity, especially in contexts marked by conflict and suffering.

May this new season of resurrection bring serenity and hope to each of our hearts and to the whole world.
