From 18 to 20 July 2025, on the occasion of Pax Christi’s 80th anniversary, Pax Christi France is organising an international pilgrimage to Lourdes, France. This will be a time of meeting and sharing, of commemoration and thanksgiving for all Pax Christi members, friends and supporters.

Pax Christi France invites all Pax Christi members and associates worldwide, and strongly encourage every country to send a delegation or representative. Each delegation will have a place in each part of the program, which you will find below. An invitation is also extended to all the friends of peace with whom you work.

Why go to Lourdes for the 80th anniversary?

It was in Lourdes that Pax Christi was first developed in 1948. The Lourdes sanctuary has seen many international pilgrimages, and several sites still bear witness to this vitality. Pax Christi France still maintains an active presence there. Lourdes is a place of hope, and our shared experiences will be a source of hope for all.

Programme

The programme will be presided by Archbishop Philippe Ballot of the Metz Diocese, President of Pax Christi France.

Organization and costs:

Transport, accommodation and registration fees are the responsibility of each delegation.

Pax Christi delegations from different countries are welcome to come to Lourdes in advance, or to stay after Sunday July 20, but must inform us before taking their tickets so that we can check availability with the hotel.

The price of the hotel with all meals is 82€ (three-stars) or 91€ (four-stars) per person and per day (in a double room, with a 35€ supplement per day in a single room).

The pilgrimage registration fee is 40€ per person (participation in shrine costs, insurance, equipment, etc.).
