Sixty-three years after the publication of the encyclical Pacem in Terris by Pope John XXIII, the theme of peace in the world continues to call for constant prayer from the faithful across the globe.

For this reason, Pope Leo XIV has invited the Catholic community to join today, 11 April, in a special moment of prayer for peace, particularly in light of the ongoing situation in the Middle East.

The gathering will take place today at St Peter’s Basilica at 18:00 (CET) and is open to the participation of all the faithful.
