Bérengère Savélieff, Peace Education Officer at Pax Christi France and Pax Christi International Representative at UNESCO, was invited  by the Centre Catholique International de Coopération avec l’UNESCO to present her reflexions on the role of peace and education in building peace, at the occasion of their New Year Gathering.

She build her presentation on:

  • The work of Coria Biess and Dagmar Nolden, two specialists in peace education from the Berghof Foundation, and their definition of “Religion”
  • Key elements in the thought of the philosopher Jürgen Habermas – including his concepts of the post-secular era and post-secular society
  • As well as the work of education to combat extremisms by encouraging interreligious dialogue.

Her presentation and text are available in French.
