On December 12th, 2024, at 3.00 pm CET (Brussels Time), CIDSE, Caritas Internationalis, Pax Christi International, and Trócaire are inviting you to a webinar:
Caring for our Common Home:
The Need for a Legally Binding Instrument for TNCs and Other Types of Business
The webinar included an opening statement by Archbishop Ettore Balestrero, Permanent Observer of the Holy See to the United Nations in Geneva, alongside valuable insights from other experts and advocates working on corporate accountability.
Together we explored the urgent need for a legally binding instrument to ensure that Transnational Corporations (TNCs) and other businesses respect human rights and protect the environment. The event served as a precursor to the 10th session of the Open-ended Intergovernmental Working Group on TNCs and Human Rights which will take place at the UN in Geneva on December 16th – 20th 2024.
