Ten years after the assassination of Berta Cáceres, the Interdisciplinary Group of Independent Experts (GIEI), appointed by the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR), has released its findings.

📄 The report documents how business interests, political power, security forces and impunity converged to impose projects on communities and territories while silencing those who opposed them.

Despite the evidence, those most responsible have yet to be held accountable.

A 10 años del asesinato de Berta Cáceres, el Grupo Interdisciplinario de Expertos Independientes (GIEI), designado por la Comisión Interamericana de Derechos Humanos (CIDH), ha presentado sus hallazgos.

📄 El informe documenta cómo intereses empresariales, poder político, fuerzas de seguridad e impunidad convergieron para imponer proyectos sobre los territorios y silenciar a quienes se oponían.

Pese a las pruebas, quienes ostentan la mayor responsabilidad aún no han rendido cuentas ante la justicia.
