With deep sorrow, we share the news of the passing of Bishop Giovanni Giudici on 18 January 2024 at the age of 83. A former president of Pax Christi Italia (2009–2014) and Bishop Emeritus of Pavia, he was a committed voice for peace and justice in the Church and beyond.

We join our dear brothers and sisters at Pax Christi Italia in mourning the loss of their former president. We give thanks for his life, his witness, and his leadership within the Pax Christi movement.

May he rest in eternal peace.
