About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated and creative Communication Assistant to join our team in Brussels. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent communication graduate or someone with a similar background to gain valuable experience in a dynamic environment and contribute to our mission of promoting justice and peace.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation of the communication strategy for Pax Christi International’s 80th anniversary.
  • Assist in planning, creating, and scheduling social media content across different platforms.
  • Help maintain an active online presence by engaging with supporters and key stakeholders.
  • Update and maintain the website with relevant content.
  • Design simple visuals for social media and the website.
  • Assist the Secretary General in monthly meetings with partners in the Asia-Pacific region, including tasks such as preparing agendas, writing minutes, and following up.
  • Prepare the monthly newsletter for the Asia-Pacific region.

Requirements:

  • Recent graduate in communication, or in international relations, human rights, or a related field, with prior experience in communication.
  • Excellent written and oral English skills. Knowledge of French and/or Spanish is an asset.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Ability to manage social media accounts and create content using social media management tools.
  • Knowledge of web management tools, particularly WordPress.
  • Design skills (videos, graphics, etc.) in Canva or similar design tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with people from diverse social and cultural backgrounds.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Curiosity, initiative, and adaptability.

A strong interest in peace, justice, human rights, and ecological sustainability, along with a desire to work for an NGO, is highly valued.
