We are excited to announce the Nagasaki Catholic Peace Forum (CPF), an open platform dedicated to fostering peacebuilding in accordance with Catholic Social Teaching. This event invites Catholic organizations and individuals passionate about creating a peaceful world.

The forum will be held on August 10, 2024, from 9 AM to 4 PM in Nagasaki, Japan.

Theme: “Just and Sustainable Peace without Nuclear Weapons in Asia – The Role of the Catholic Church and Pax Christi Movement”.

In collaboration with Pax Christi Korea and other partners, we’ll work together to build solidarity networks, especially among young people, as we prepare for World Youth Day 2027 in Seoul.

This forum is the first initiative of the CPF, in partnership with the Diocese of Nagasaki, to address critical issues of peacebuilding and nuclear disarmament in response to emerging threats in Asia and beyond.
