We are grateful to Mosaico di Pace for featuring the story of the Pax Christi International Peace Award 2023, which was officially presented to the Parents Circle – Families Forum (PCFF) on 29 September 2024 in Rome.

The article, written by Giulia Bordin, Advocacy Officer at Pax Christi International, appears in the December 2024 edition under the theme A Jubilee of Hope.

Giulia Bordin wrote, Through their commitment to nonviolence, empathy, and mutual understanding, they have shown that even in the most violence-affected contexts it is possible to build a different future, based on coexistence and respect for differences. Their work testifies that every individual can become an agent of peace, a bearer of hope, but to do so requires not only a personal conviction to achieve peace, but also the encounter with the other, opening oneself to listening and welcoming their struggles and pain. Their eyes filled with hope and their words touched the souls of those present, enveloping the audience in a spiritual embrace that reflects the very essence of the peace they embody.
