With heavy hearts, Pax Christi International extends its unwavering solidarity to the people of Myanmar and Thailand during this devastating time. The earthquakes that have struck since March 28th have caused immense loss and suffering. We stand with you in your grief and pain. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims, the injured, and those still missing. 

In the case of Myanmar, the people have endured long-standing hardships, and these natural calamities further threaten to exacerbate the already severe human rights violations faced by many. We remain deeply concerned about the ongoing risks to your safety and dignity. 

In this time of hardship, we reaffirm our commitment to walk with you on your journey of recovery. The international community is mobilising support, but we know the road ahead is long.

With our Asia-Pacific Members, we call for global solidarity and continued advocacy to ensure that life-saving assistance reaches all those in need.
