From May 15th until May 19th join our “Reflecting on Nakba, Embracing Pentecost” campaign, where we listen closely to the voices of nonviolence echoing from Palestine.
Each voice we encounter in this campaign, every testimony we hear, shines as a beacon of light in a world too often clouded by conflict. These voices inspire us to strive for a future where peace reigns, and everyone is treated with dignity.
Every inspiring testimony comes with practical steps, empowering you to make a real difference in your community and beyond.
Join us on this journey of reflection, advocacy, and unity. Together we can amplify the voices of nonviolence from the Holy Land, paving the path for a world where peace and justice prevail.

Zoughbi Alzoughbi, Wi’am director, shares his voice echoing the resilience and struggle of the Palestinian people. As we listen, we light candles at our windows, symbolising solidarity and remembrance.

Thursday, May 16th
Amgad Al-Mhalwi, Staff of Al-Najd Developmental Forum – Reflection from Doug Hostetter, PCI’s UN Representative
Today we would have heard the voice of Amgad Al-Mhalwi, Staff of Al-Najd Developmental Forum and protagonist of one of our Peace Stories. Amgad’s voice was intended to guide us in this campaign, especially on how he keeps hope up despite what he has been going through as a Palestinian living in Gaza. Since the attacks on Rafah, commencing on May 10th, we have lost contact with him. His friend Doug Hostetter, PCI’s UN Representative, provided a reflection on the profound silence that has embraced us in his absence.
Join the campaign now, share Doug’s reflection and organise silent marches in your community to raise awareness on what the people in Gaza are living right now.
Friday, May 17th
Testimony from Shadin Nassar, Tent of Nations
Shadin Nassar’s testimony reminds us of the fundamental right to land, a cornerstone of Palestinians identity and existence.
Take action by writing letters to local representatives or government officials, using this template to articulate our commitment to justice.
Saturday, May 18th
Testimony from Toine van Teeffelen, Arab Educational Institute – Pax Christi
Toine van Teeffelen, from the Arab Educational Institute (AEI), is a voice of nonviolence in the Holy Land. In this testimony, he offers his perspective and the one of AEI on the meaning of “Sumud” and how it has been helping the Palestinian population face the cyclical violations of their rights with nonviolent means.
Share Toine’s voice by using the hashtag #FromNakbaToPentecost and stating what nonviolence means to you!
Sunday, May 19th – Pentecost
Reflection from Fr. Paul Lansu, Board Member of Pax Christi International
The voice of Fr. Paul Lansu, Board Member of Pax Christi International, will guide us on this Pentecost day, closing our #FromNakbaToPentecost campaign.
Let us all be inspired by his reflection, which calls us to be beacons of peace, like spotless doves, recognising the importance of unity and solidarity amidst violence.
Today, let us come together in prayer for this spirit of unity and solidarity to be reinforced in the Holy Land.
