We are pleased to share the March–April 2026 issue of the Journal of Social Encounters, a journal published online twice a year by the Center for Social Justice and Ethics at The Catholic University of Eastern Africa in Nairobi, Kenya, in collaboration with the College of St. Benedict/St. John’s University, Collegeville, Minnesota.
This edition features an important contribution on Sudan, including several essays on health-related topics and on Emergency Response Rooms. Significant contributions were also provided by colleagues from the Pax Christi International Sudan Working Group, and we would therefore like to thank Mawa Mohamed, Ronald Pagnucco, Rosemarie Pace, and John Ashworth for their valuable work.
A link to the webinar Sudan: Possible Paths to Peace?, organised by Pax Christi International last 3 March, is also included.
The issue of the Journal of Social Encounters is available here.

Interesting to see contributions from a working group! I’m curious about the main themes discussed in everyone’s encounters.
