We are pleased to share the following letter from the Arab Educational Institute (AEI) – Pax Christi Bethlehem. A member of Pax Christi International, AEI has been committed for many years to promoting peace, nonviolence, intercultural dialogue and social justice through educational and community-based initiatives.

Dear Friends, Partners, and Supporters,
Greetings from Bethlehem, Palestine.
The Arab Educational Institute (AEI) is a Palestinian non-governmental organization based in Bethlehem, Palestine, founded in 1986. Since becoming AEI–Pax Christi Bethlehem in 2004, the institute has further expanded its work in peacebuilding, nonviolence, intercultural dialogue, civil peace, and social justice, while continuing its commitment to education, community engagement, and cultural heritage preservation.
Through its programs with women, youth, educators, and local communities, AEI promotes dignity, resilience, social justice, cultural heritage preservation, and mutual understanding.
Over the years, AEI has developed a wide range of initiatives that combine education, research, storytelling, cultural documentation, community development, environmental awareness, and interfaith dialogue. Among its well-known programs are the Sumud Story House, the Wall Museum, women’s community groups, youth leadership activities, oral history projects, and community-based research initiatives that document and amplify Palestinian voices and lived experiences.
At the heart of AEI’s work is the belief that education, dialogue, and storytelling can help build hope, strengthen communities, and foster meaningful connections across cultures and societies.
Today, we are reaching out to invite volunteers from around the world to become part of our work.
AEI offers a wide range of volunteer opportunities for individuals who wish to contribute their skills, knowledge, creativity, and experience while learning from the realities, culture, and communities of Palestine.
We welcome volunteers and interns in areas such as:
• Community-based research and field studies, particularly in the areas of Arab Christianity, Palestinian society, culture, and heritage

• Social media management and outreach
