On 14 June at 15:00 CEST, Pax Christi International will take part in the “Welfare, not Warfare” mobilisation, organised by STOP ReArm Europe together with Stop Militarisation and held in Brussels.

The event is part of the broader framework of demonstrations and initiatives which, at national and European level, are bringing together many voices into a single protest against the institutions driving the militarisation of Europe. The aim is to unite social movements, civil society organisations, independent media and political forces in a collective call for peace.

The demonstration will begin at 15:00 with a march starting from Brussels North. Afterwards, participants will gather in an assembly to define the next steps of a Europe-wide mobilisation against the ReArm agenda.

STOP ReArm Europe invites movements and organisations from across Europe to organise their own events and coordinated public actions, carrying forward the message of unarmed peace. For further information and to submit a proposal, please visit their website here.
