On August 27, 2024, Pax Christi International, with the support of the Pax Christi Fund for Peace, hosted the webinar “Advancing Nonviolence in Challenging Times.”
The event began with a beautiful meditation led by Carolyn Townes, OSF, Pax Christi Fund for Peace Board Member, to reflect on the emotional weight of our times. This was followed by an inspiring discussion with:
Rivera Sun (Advancing Nonviolence Coordinator, Pace e Bene), who shared powerful stories of nonviolence experiences across the U.S.
Michelle Sherman (Project Director, Pax Christi USA), who discussed the importance of the Catholic Nonviolence Initiative and its relevance for the U.S.
Their presentations provided deep reflections and concrete examples of nonviolence in action.
