Pax Christi International and its Catholic Nonviolence Initiative celebrate Laudato Si’ Week!

This year marks a special milestone, 10 years since Pope Francis released Laudato Si’, his powerful call to care for our common home. Pax Christi International joins the global community from May 18 to 25 in celebrating this anniversary and renewing our commitment to ecological conversion, justice, and peace.

The theme for Laudato Si’ Week 2025 is “Raise Hope,” a call to action and joy. As we mark a decade of prayer and action, we are invited to spread the message of Laudato Si’ by reaching people who may not yet know its message. Let this be a time of sharing light, building community, and planting seeds for a sustainable and nonviolent future.

As Pope Francis reminds us in Laudato Si’ (244), “Let us sing as we go. May our struggles and our concern for this planet never take away the joy of our hope.

At Pax Christi International, we believe care for creation and nonviolence are deeply interconnected. Promoting nonviolence means respecting all forms of life and ensuring that future generations can live in harmony with the Earth and with one another.
